The most common form of musculoskeletal pain is back pain. It is estimated that 70-90% of the population are likely to experience back pain at some stage in their life. No matter what your age or life circumstance our physiotherapists can assist you in understanding and overcoming neck or back pain.

Signs and symptoms that may be related to neck pain:

  • Aching of the neck and shoulder muscles

  • Headaches

  • Pain and stiffness in the neck

  • Jaw pain

  • Upper back pain

  • Dizziness

  • Shoulder blade pain & upper back pain

  • Pain travelling down the arms

  • Pins & needles and tingling in the hands and fingers

  • Weakness of the arm or foot

Signs and symptoms that may be related to back pain:

  • Aching in the mid and lower back

  • Pain and stiffness in the lower back

  • Pain travelling down the legs

  • Pins & needles and tingling in the legs and feet

  • Pain in the hips

  • Tingling or pain in the buttocks

  • Muscle spasms or seizing up of the back muscles

  • Sharp pain

  • Difficulty walking or standing up straight

  • Weakness of the leg or foot
